THW is about measuring.

“We use saliva and blood spot tests to measure steroid (fat soluble) hormones instead of drawing blood from your arm. Saliva and blood spot testing is more reflective of how much hormone is actually making it to the tissues. Saliva and blood spot testing also uses reference ranges that are relevant to your age and forced menopause-hysterectomy”.

THW is about monitoring.

If you are using any hormone replacement therapies you need to be monitored. Hormones are not static in the body. Your body’s hormones are always fluctuating as they begin to decline after the age of 35. What might be appropriate assistance today, may change for you as time goes by. We require that our patients check in every three months to see how they’re doing. We require our patients to do a full hormone test annually. We require our female patients to provide our office with their annual pap smear. We require our male patients to provide our office with their annual PSA test.

THW is about supporting.

We support hormone balance in our patients by teaching them how to eat to create healthier hormone metabolism and elimination. We support our patients in following healthier eating patterns by assessing their brain chemistry balance and using amino-acid therapies to create more serotonin, endorphins, GABA, dopamine etc.. when needed. Assisting brain chemistry balance reduces cravings for sugar, caffeine, alcohol, dense white foods and drugs dramatically. We support our patients by being available and staying in regularly scheduled touch.
